This helmet is like no other I’ve seen in my lifetime. With the impact absorbing shell and padding I now no longer worry while I watch my son take massive hits. Now I just wish we had this type of protection for ankles and knees. 😂 don’t buy that sub par speedflex. Spend a few more dollars and relax watching your prized possessions play.

My son played Pop Warner football for three years with an LS2. It was a great helmet and he preferred it over the other options available to him. Since he was transitioning to HS football, it was time to update his equipment. The Apache seemed like the logical next step for him. At this point he's practiced in it for a couple weeks and also done a 4 day full-pads camp. So far, my son has been very impressed. He thinks it is just as light as the LS2 and maybe a little bit more comfortable. He also said he really likes the visibility and the overall fit. To my eye, the Apache seems like a definite advancement in technology and an evolution in overall refinement. After taking a look at the Va Tech ratings before making our final decision, it seemed like the Apache offered benefits in safety, weight savings, and overall cost. To me, its a winner on all levels. Highly recommend.
