My son loves his Tomahawk… It’s his second Light Helmet… Great helmets and customer service… As an assistant coach, I have never seen a kid put on a helmet for the first time, and be able to maintain their balance, track the ball, and run full speed during drills like I have seen with Light… Absolutely no reason to wear any other helmet… Safety, performance, and aesthetics; Not just light-weight…Light customer for life…

My son has gotten an offer now after he's worn this helmet. Im not saying this helmet is the exact reason he has gotten d1 offers but it sure does play a part.

They don’t have an option to put a visor on the youth helmets but overall a solid helmet

This was our 9-year-old peewee lineman’s first season using a Light helmet after wearing team-issued equipment last year. To appease his mother (lol), we decided to invest in a helmet of his own, and after looking at the VT rankings, we chose Light. We couldn’t be happier with that decision!

He plays both offensive and defensive line and literally played every single snap this season, so having a lightweight, comfortable helmet was a big deal. He absolutely LOVES it! The difference in weight is noticeable, and the helmet looks awesome on the field.

One of the biggest things we noticed this season was the huge jump he made in aggression, confidence, and overall ability. He really took his game to another level. I can’t say the helmet alone was responsible for that improvement, but I do believe feeling comfortable and confident in his equipment played a part. Knowing we invested in a helmet chosen with safety in mind gave us some extra peace of mind as parents, too.

And let’s be honest, looking good while you’re out there doing your thing never hurts! 😂

Overall, this has been a fantastic experience/investment for our family. Our son loves his Light helmet, and as a parent, I love seeing him confident, comfortable, and excited to play. Definitely a purchase we’re happy with, and I’d recommend Light to other football families looking for a lightweight helmet with strong safety credentials and great looks!
